Tampa, Florida
In the Heart of the Sunshine State,
Tampa, Florida has a varied and
interesting history as a pirate haven,
a cigar center, a military center for
the Seminole Wars, a center for
Spanish, Asturian, Italian, and
Cuban settlers, the departure point
for Theodore Roosevelt's Rough
Riders, a tourist destination, a center
for learning, a financial center, an
agricultural center that features
strawberries and tomatoes, one of
the largest ports in the south, and
the location of U. S. Central
Command at MacDill Air Force Base.
View of Downtown Tampa from the famous Bayshore
Boulevard, the longest "sidewalk" in the world.
